Swedish Massage

A Swedish massage is the most basic type of massage modality. It is designed to relax the entire body by rubbing the muscles in long, gliding strokes in direction of blood returning to the heart.

The benefits go beyond relaxation. It can help increase the level of oxygen in the blood and improve circulation and flexibility.

Massage oils, lotions or creams are used to protect the skin from friction. A Swedish Massage is ideal for relief of stress brought on by everyday activities (such as a hectic work week!)

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue massage therapy is similar to Swedish massage. With a deep tissue massage, your therapist applies slow, firm pressure to release muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons, and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints).

A deep tissue massage is used to improve circulation, reduce minor aches and pain, increase range of motion, and ease inflammation.

Deep tissue is the perfect modality for rehab of an old injury or dealing with minor aches and pains.

Aromatherapy Massage

Aromatherapy is a soothing and relaxing addition to any massage modality.

Through the use of scented essential oils, this treatment promotes psychological and physiological health.

The therapist spreads penetrating essential oil blends on the client’s skin as she performs her massage, creating a lovely, pleasant scent that puts the client at ease.

Essential oils can also be chosen based on the client’s personal goal for the massage.

Hot Stone Massage

Hot Stone Massage is a wonderful addition to massage therapy. During this warming massage, the therapist glides professionally heated stones over targeted body areas.

Heat from the stones quickly relaxes tense muscles, allowing the therapist access to deeper muscle layers, without causing discomfort to the client.

A Hot Stone Massage is ideal for relief from stress and tension, making it a perfect way to unwind. Give yourself this pampering treat you deserve.
